Transcribe+ Slow Down Music App Reviews

Keeps crashing

I would be interested in this but it keeps crashing as soon as I choose a song. Also, it does not show all my music.

Cool concept, poor app

Its a cool app. However, it only works for 45 seconds of a song unless you pay $10. It gets boring fast when you can only do the beginning of a song. I have had it for an hour and Im already planning on deleting it after I post this. Its still a really cool app. You can change the speed and pitch of a song seamlessly. But its pointless because you cant even save what you work on. So its a very cool concept and awesome technology and coding behind the app, but the app its self is lacking and is really pointless unless you plan on spending $10

Genius!

Absolutely love this app and its worth every penny. After testing the free version, I upgraded and bought the app because I know Ill be using it a lot. Beautiful and simple design makes it easy for me to use. As a professional musician, I will be able to use this app endlessly and save a lot of time. Thank you!

Nice. Not $10 nice. But nice.

Free app is limited to 45 seconds, $10 to upgrade. Interface is very nice, sound quality acceptable. I might go $2 if they lower the price- till then Ill use the myriad of other free apps for phone or pc.

Pretty Good, But Time Limit is Annoying

I like the functionality of this app, and especially the slow-downer, as I am a musician and use this for my piano accompaniments. However, the 45-second time limit is pretty annoying. Nice job though!

Meh

The time stretching algorithm this app uses, most likely SoundTouch, isnt very good. In fact its pretty terrible when you slow a song down. You can hear ear damaging flanging and there are lots of artifact. I suppose I cant expect much from a free or very cheap app. The interface is nice but the initial tutorial is very confusing because it half overlays the interface which it look like its broken.

Crashes every time I use it

Unacceptable.

Great app for musicians and singers!!!

Learning a new song on guitar can sometimes be tricky, especially if you want to play along with the recording and the tempo is fast. Years ago, I found a way to slow the tempo down without affecting pitch by importing the song into the Audacity freeware tool on my PC, adjusting the tempo, saving, exporting, copying into iTunes, then syncing with my iPhone. It does the job but it is a hassle. The Transcribe+ app skips all these steps and allows you to change tempo without affecting pitch for any song in your Music Library just by moving a simple slider. Super easy! It also allows for loops, so if you are struggling playing a hard part in a song, just create a loop to practice it over and over again. I truly love this app. Great job!

Useless

Maybe I didnt understand the point of the app, but it seems absolutely useless to me. I hope that I will find the usage of that.

Great for Musicians

Very easy to use and a great tool!

Pretty cool

I learned to play guitar by ear. If a solo is too fast to pick up, this is a great way to slow things down! Well worth the $10 upgrade!

:45 second limit

The part I wanted to try this app on didnt start until the :45 second mark of the song. This app has a :45 second limit so I couldnt try it.

Useless "tutorial", no clue how to use this

It does not tell you how to create a loop, not how to save the loop, nor how to add a note, or do anything that you might want to do based on the program description. The tutorial is a single picture showing what the various sections are, but not how to actually use them to do anything at all. I havent even figured out how to slow down or speed up anything yet. Thats how poor the tutorial is… i.e. useless

Useful. Could use some more polish.

I didnt find another app that would work as well as this one for transcribing an oral interview. For that purpose, a 25-second back button would have been helpful. A "go to flag" function would be nice. And I didnt see a way to remove a flag. Scrubbing backwards through the audio would sometimes cause the app to lose its place. On the other hand, it serves my purpose and I dont regret the purchase.

Terrible

This is terrible. All you do is change the tempo on a song from iTunes, change the pitch, loop, and once you get to 45 seconds, it tells you to upgrade. I wouldnt get it, but that choice is up to you.

$10 is very greedy.

I like the app. I thought the instructions were confusing, but I was able to get the hang of it by playing around with it myself. So I think it would be better if it had a guided tutorial rather than just a picture with many confusing labels. I would pay a dollar or two for this app because it would be useful to me, but $10 is very greedy.

Great app!

This thing rocks! If you want to slow down a song, so you can practice by playing along with your musical instrument, or if you want to transcribe lyrics, music, etc., this app is great for those things! I havent used it enough to know if I would have problems with stability, but the features are great, and its really easy to use.

how to export

i dont know how to export also you shouldnt put in limitations .if you want people to pay for something make the reverse audio feature or something

Good concept, not worth $10

This is a pretty cool app, lets you adjust the speed and key of any song. Unless you pay $10 for the unlocked version, you can only adjust up to 45 seconds.

It wants to be Capo Touch...

...but its not. Get Capo Touch. Theres no regretting it. I use Capo for professional use and personal use and its outstanding. Worth every penny. This app is setup to do what other apps before have done, in colorful interface... And fell short in execution of the actual product. While I do agree hard work can pay off, this is too new. I recommend Capo to my clients. :)
