An excellent app which is very helpfull when analysing music and finding out the notes of the melody and chords! I can recommend the app to every musician.

Need to upgrade ($13.99) to keep listening after 45 seconds.

Why call it Transcibe when all it does is play the song? Get real, people!! Transcibe means to WRITE OUT, NOT JUST PLAY!! If you can not play by ear, THIS IS USELESS!!

... when I tried it out—but the real test will be how useful it is for my 7 year old, who plays by ear.

With the new update this is the best and useful tool for any musician.

I use transcribe on my computer and I was pleasantly surprised that this app had the main features I like in that program. The ability to slow down and loop a small portion of the song helps me transcribe more accurately and is especially useful for getting tricky rhythms and complex melodic lines. It allows me to transcribe without having to bring the computer out which is especially useful for teaching purposes. I love being able to plug in my phone and slow down songs to get students to practice with as well as transcribing for them or with them. Being able to loop just one chorus of a solo or bass line (etc) is a useful tool since I dont have to rewind back to practice it multiple times. Its intuitive and easy to use. Would definitely recommend it to musicians who are looking to transcribe music or practice along with recordings.

Absolutely love this app and its worth every penny. After testing the free version, I upgraded and bought the app because I know Ill be using it a lot. Beautiful and simple design makes it easy for me to use. As a professional musician, I will be able to use this app endlessly and save a lot of time. Thank you!

Wonderful app. Already proved its worth

Great job on the export update guys. Just what I wanted in conjunction with GarageBand. My only beef now is theres a few bugs. Sometimes songs will hit the 50 second mark and snap back to the 30 second mark. Closing and opening the app again sometimes solves it. Great app nonetheless.

Overall, I thoroughly believe that this is a great app for transcribing. I only use it to transcribe audio files for qualitative data analysis and the two features I use the most are the speed and the ability to playback with just a few swipes. Makes it easy to review words that Ive typed. My only critique - and I hope this gets resolved on the next update - is the ability to fast forward through the audio file faster than swiping. Since Im transcribing large audio files, Im not doing it all at once and have to return to where Ive stopped previously. When you exit the app, it starts from the beginning which is a bit annoying. Id like the feature to either stay where Ive left off or a faster option to immediately go where Ive left off. If you are using this app for my purpose, then that would be an important feature. All around - great app!

Quick and easy navigation of tools used to transcribe audio. Transcribe to individual section needs to be improved rather than apply to whole file.

In just a few months they have taken this app and made it one of the best ever, cant wait to see what else is coming. More than worth it at twice the price.

Works great, Just wish theyd had a couple of buttons that return the pitch and the speed back to normal so you wouldnt have to fidget around with the slider so much. If it had that id probably give it five stars

Easier than ever and the new tools add capabilities beyond the competition. Great price and awesome features.

Progress bar goes to about 80% then loading quits and I get to see the home screen again as if I had never tried to load anything.

I use Seventh String softwares Transcribe on the Mac because of the audio wave graphic interface. Quite honestly, I dont know why Seventh String didnt do an iOS version. Im glad this app developer did. It lacks a lot of advanced features, but it basically does what it sets out to do. In the tutorial, I would be more clear with how the speed and pitch are manipulated. I look forward to the future developments of this app. Great work!
